The San Diego Microfinance Alliance is a consortium of local microfinance practitioners, donors, students, and educators committed to collaborating and raising the profile of microfinance in the San Diego region.
Attend The San Diego Microfinance Summit to:
- LEARN about local and international microfinance organizations and hear stories from clients
- NETWORK and join in the passion of microfinance in San Diego
- GET INVOLVED by volunteering, working with and/or donating to microfinance activities
- SUPPORT local entrepreneurs and buy products or services at the client marketplace during the summit
- DINE on a buffet lunch prepared by local microfinance clients
- HEAR Keynote Speaker, Yeardley Smith, who is an award winning actor, novelist, and avid supporter of microfinance

Via International Global Dialogue for Response-ability 2010

Invited transformational leaders from around the globe will meet with Via International Scholars from both the University of San Diego and Virginia Tech University for two days of in-depth dialogue in addition to classroom visits, public presentations, and special events during the week designed to promote international and intergenerational exchange among students, staff, community members, and visiting guests.
This series of events is
locally hosted by Virginia Tech Center for Student Engagement and Community Partnerships, the Community Foundation of the New River Valley, and Virginia Tech Institite for Policy and Governance in partnership with Via International and numerous organizations, community supporters, and educational programs.
